Short version
The data you scrape with Sturdy Scraper is processed and stored locally in your browser. We do not receive your scraped data, do not see which websites you scrape, and do not run analytics on your datasets.
Data handled by the extension
- Scraped rows: stored locally in Chrome extension storage and IndexedDB.
- Scraper configurations: selectors, target URL, field names, pagination settings, and job state.
- License data for Pro users: email, license key, tier, and validation timestamp.
Data sent outside your browser
If you use the Free plan, scraped data does not leave your browser. If you buy Pro, Paddle processes payment information. License validation may send your email and license key to our license endpoint. That endpoint does not receive scraped rows or target website content.
Permissions
The extension uses permissions such as activeTab, scripting, storage, downloads, alarms, notifications, and sidePanel to let you select elements, run jobs, store local results, export files, and receive status alerts. Optional host permissions are requested only when needed for recurring jobs or classic pagination.
Retention and deletion
Scraped data stays in your browser until you delete jobs, clear extension storage, or uninstall the extension. Billing records are retained by Paddle according to Paddle's legal and tax obligations.
